SECG Race Team

I understand that participation in running, cycling, racing, endurance events, training, and related activities involves inherent and potentially serious risks, including bodily injury, illness, permanent disability, property damage, and death. These risks may include, without limitation, falls; collisions; contact with vehicles, bicycles, participants, spectators, volunteers, animals, or objects; road and trail conditions; uneven or hazardous terrain; equipment failure; mechanical failure; traffic; weather; extreme heat or cold; dehydration; overexertion; communicable illness; remote locations; and the acts or omissions of event organizers, volunteers, participants, spectators, property owners, governmental entities, or other third parties. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, whether specifically identified above or not. I understand that Sunflower Environmental Compliance Group LLC and the SECG Race Team are providing financial sponsorship only and are not the organizer, operator, owner, promoter, medical provider, transportation provider, safety authority, coach, trainer, or supervisor of the event. Sunflower Environmental does not select or control the course, venue, event rules, safety procedures, race officials, medical services, weather decisions, equipment, road or trail conditions, other participants, or event organizer. I am solely responsible for determining whether I am physically and medically capable of participating, obtaining appropriate medical advice when necessary, properly preparing and training, selecting and maintaining appropriate equipment, complying with event rules, and determining whether conditions are safe for my participation. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and agree not to hold liable Sunflower Environmental Compliance Group LLC, the SECG Race Team, and their respective owners, officers, employees, representatives, agents, volunteers, successors, and assigns from claims arising from or related to my participation in a sponsored event, including claims involving personal injury, illness, death, or property loss, except to the extent a claim cannot lawfully be released or waived. I understand that Sunflower Environmental's payment or reimbursement of an entry fee does not create responsibility for my safety or participation in the event.

I understand that submitting a race request does not constitute approval or guarantee sponsorship. SECG Race Team sponsorships are discretionary and subject to available program funds, event eligibility, registration costs, location, charitable/community benefit, and other considerations established by Sunflower Environmental. I authorize Sunflower Environmental Compliance Group LLC to use photographs and/or video that I voluntarily submit or that are taken in connection with my participation in the SECG Race Team. I grant Sunflower Environmental permission to reproduce, publish, display, edit, crop, resize, and distribute these images for SECG Race Team, community outreach, website, social media, marketing, promotional, and company communications, without compensation. I understand that published material may remain publicly available after my participation in the SECG Race Team ends. I release Sunflower Environmental from claims arising from the authorized use of my image or likeness, except to the extent such claims cannot legally be waived.

I understand that submitting a race request does not constitute approval or guarantee sponsorship. SECG Race Team sponsorships are discretionary and subject to available program funds, event eligibility, registration costs, location, charitable/community benefit, and other considerations established by Sunflower Environmental. I understand that only expenses specifically approved in advance by Sunflower Environmental are eligible for payment or reimbursement. I am personally responsible for all other costs associated with my participation, including travel, lodging, meals, equipment, training, medical expenses, parking, transportation, and incidental expenses unless Sunflower Environmental expressly agrees otherwise in writing. I understand that once Sunflower Environmental pays or reimburses an event registration fee, the sponsorship funds are considered used regardless of whether I ultimately participate in or complete the event. If I voluntarily withdraw, fail to attend, miss the event, become unable to participate, or am disqualified, Sunflower Environmental has no obligation to provide a replacement sponsorship, credit, reimbursement, transfer, or payment for another event. Sunflower Environmental is not responsible for losses or expenses resulting from an event being cancelled, postponed, relocated, shortened, rescheduled, modified, or otherwise changed by an event organizer or third party. Any refund, credit, transfer, or deferral offered by the event organizer is subject to that organizer's policies. If a refund or transferable credit is issued for a registration paid by Sunflower Environmental, the participant agrees to notify Sunflower Environmental and reasonably cooperate in returning the refund or applying the credit as directed by Sunflower Environmental.
