Federal EPA Registry Update
I apologize for the delay in this overdue blog. I know some of you have been utilizing this as a timely update to regulations. So please excuse the quick summary of items and only the listing the most prevalent regulatory changes for Sunflower Environmental’s current subscribers and clients.;
Changes to the following chemicals under TSCA tolerances and review have occured over the last month;;

Summary: Proposing to place hazardous air pollutant standards for process vessels.;
Federal Register :: Clean Water Act Section 401 Water Quality Certification Improvement Rule ;
Summary: EPA Is proposing to make amendments to water quality certification regulations in regards to the NPDES permit system.;

Summary: The EPA is proposing to advise storage tank, loading operations, and equipment leaks to reflect a cost effective development in practices , process and control. The EPA is also revising the startup shutdown and malfunction requirements and adding a requirement for electronic reporting of performance test results etc.;
Comments to be received by August 9. 2022;
Summary: EPA is proposing in the new subpart TTTa ;volatile organic compound emission limitations for prime, color, texture and touch up coating operations and this to include electronic emissions reporting.

Summary: EPA is approving Arizona State Implementation Plan.;

;Federal Register :: Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) Program: RFS Annual Rules;
Summary: The action modifies the previously established cellulosic biofuel, advanced biofuel and total renewable fuel volume requirement for 2020. ;Establishes new percentage standards for all four of the biofuel categories, and makes changes to the Renewable Fuel Standard program to ensure the production of qualifying renewable fuel and clarification to existing regulations.;
Effective August 30, 2022
Summary: Emerald Kalama Chemical LLC is being permitted to delist up to 3,500 cubic yards of U019 and U220 industrial wastewater biological solids.
Effective July 13, 2022
