Summary: Update the Hazard Communication Standard to conform with the United Nation’s Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) revision 7. Modifications include, revised criteria for health and physical hazards, updating labels, new labeling provisions for small containers, new provisions for trade secrets, and technical amendments’ for safety data sheets, some definition and terms have also been revised.

Summary: As of July 8, 2024 the CERLCA reporting limit will be designated at 1 pound or more within a 24 hour period for PFOA, and PFOs.
Methylene Chloride; Regulation Under Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)
Effective Date: July 8, 2024
Summary: This rule will restrict the use of this chemical during a reasonable transition period for industrial and commercial use as the chemical is being prohibited. There will be exemption for critical no safe alternatives are available.

Summary: EPA is finalizing emission guidelines for GHG emissions from existing fossil fuel-fired steam generating EGUs, NSPS for GHG emissions from new and reconstructed fossil fuel stationary combustion turbine EGUs, and other aspects of GHG emission ruling.

Summary: Finalizing the revise technology based effluent limitation guideline and standards for steam electric power generating point sources. This ruling is applicable to flue gas desulfurization (FGD) wastewater, bottom ash (BA) transport water and legacy wastewater at existing sources, and combustion residual leachate (CRL) at new and existing sources.
n-Methylpyrrolidone”NMP”; Regulation Under the Toxic Substance Control Act

Summary: EPA is proposing due to the significant health risk associated with NMP, to place prescribed controls, require concentration limits on consumer products, prevent certain commercial usages, recordkeeping, labeling and notification requirements.

National Primary Drinking Water Regulations: Consumer Confidence Reports
Effective Date: June 24, 2024
Summary: Modifying the Consumer Confidence Report CCR Rule in accordance with ethe America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 and is requiring all primary enforcement responsibility to report compliance monitoring data to EPA.
Protection of Stratospheric Ozone: Listing of substitutes under the Significant New Alternatives Policy Program
Effective Date: July 15, 2024
Summary: This ruling is providing the following alternative refrigerant options; ” HFO-1234yf, HFO-1234ze(E), R-454C, R-455A, R-457A, and R-516A as acceptable, subject to use conditions, for use in all end-use categories under retail food refrigeration ( i.e.,stand-alone units, remote condensing units, supermarket systems, and refrigerated food processing and dispensing equipment). EPA is also listing R-454A as acceptable, subject to use conditions, for use in two end-use categories under retail food refrigeration (remote condensing units and supermarket systems). After consideration and evaluation of comments, EPA is finalizing the listings for HFO-1234yf, HFO-1234ze(E), R-454C, R-455A, R-457A, and R-516A in all end-use categories under retail food refrigeration and R-454A in two end-use categories under retail food refrigeration as proposed. “
