Reconsideration of 2009 Endangerment Finding and Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Standards

Summary: ;A proposed rule by the EPA to revoke the 2009 Endangerment Finding which would remove previous set regulations for new motor vehicle and engine manufacturers to comply with greenhouse gas (GHG) emission standards under the Clean Air Act. In specific the removal of 40 CFR parts 85, 86, 600, 1036, and 1037 but continuation of criteria pollutant, air toxic measurements, Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) testing and fuel economy labeling requirements.;

Effective Date: August 6, 2025

Summary: A final rule from the EPA to diminish a maximum permissible level for residues of the Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1A.2 and Cry1B.2 proteins that are found in or on the food commodities of soybean as it is used as plant incorporated protectants (PIP) in soybean products. This was issued by Bayer CropScience LP under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA).;

Effective Date: August 6, 2025;

Summary: A final rule from the EPA to diminish a maximum permissible level for residues of ethyl formate in or on citrus (crop group 10-10), kiwifruit (fuzzy and hardy), and table grapes when used in the capacity of a fumigant following label directions and good agricultural practice. This was issued by Draslovka Services Pty Ltd under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA).


Draft Risk Evaluation under the Toxic Substances Control Act: Butyl Benzyl Phthalate; Diisobutyl Phthalate

Effective Date: comments must be received on or before October 6, 2025;

Summary: A notice from the EPA seeking comments on Butyl Benzyl Phthalate (BBP) (CARSN 85-68-7) and Dissobutyl Phthalate (DIBP) (CASRN 84-69-5) and their risk evaluations under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).;

Effective Date: Comments must be received on or before September 8, 2025;

Summary: A proposed rule by the EPA for a modification on a previous proposed tolerance exemption from 2019. The modification would pertain to the pesticide maleic hydrazide and its residues in or on “onion bulb”, “potato” and “potato chips” as it has a low toxicity and lack of effects for human health risk.;


Requests to Voluntarily Cancel Certain Pesticide Registrations and/or Amend Registrations to Terminate Certain Uses (December 2024)

Effective Date: Comments must be received on or before September 10, 2025;

Summary: A notice from the EPA with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIRFA) for companies to review their pesticide registration of certain products and to ammend their product registrations. The EPA will then fulfill the request to cancel the listed product registrations in the Federal Register.;

Agency Information Collection Activities; Proposals, Submissions, and Approvals: Consolidation of Methylene Chloride; Regulations Under TSCA Section 6(a)

Effective Date: comments must be received on or before October 24, 2025;

Summary: A notice from the EPA to renew and revise the consolidated ICR (information collection request) titled “Methylene Chloride; Regulation under TSCA § 6(a).” This ICR focuses on manufacture, process, and distribution of methylene chloride for consumer use as well as industrial and commercial use conditions (workplace monitoring).;


Phasedown of Hydrofluorocarbons: Review and Renewal of Eligibility for Application-Specific Allowances

Effective Date: September 25, 2025;

Summary: A final rule from the EPA to finalize criteria for renewing application specific allowances to produce or import hydrofluorocarbons under the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act of 202 (AIM Act). AIM and EPA are issuing a limited amount of prodution and consumption allowances for HFCs (hydrofluorocarbons).;


Agency Information Collection Activities; Proposals, Submissions, and Approvals: Labeling Requirements for Certain Minimum Risk Pesticides under Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act

Effective Date: comments must be submitted on or before September 29, 2025;

Summary: A notice from the EPA for an extension of the ICR: Labeling Requirements for Certain Minimum Risk Pesticides under the FIFRA Section 25(b) (EPA ICR Number 2475.05 and OMB Control Number 2070-0187).;


Proposed Consent Decree: Clean Air Act Citizen Suit

Effective Date: Comments must be received by September 29, 2025;

Summary: A notice of proposed consent decree by the EPA to establish deadlines to monitor the Mariposa County, California, and Phoenix-Mesa, Arizona non-attainment areas and make sure they are up to code with the 2015 ozone national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) as they have previously failed to maintain this decree. This complaint was filed by the Center for Biological Diversity and the Center for Environmental Health.;


National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants: Polyether Polyols Production Industry: Removal of Affirmative Defense
