Greenlee County STEAM Grants for Teachers
Sunflower Environmental STEAM Grant.
Applications for the STEAM Teacher Grant will now be open all year round. If an applicant meets the criteria Sunflower Environmental will respond within 30 days of submittal. (Submittal does not guarantee grant winnings) This $250 grant is designed to help public school teachers in the Greenlee County purchase supplies for STEAM-related lessons. Two grants will be awarded teachers in public schools within Greenlee County, Arizona within one calendar year.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be employed as a teacher in a public school district within Greenlee County.
- Teacher must instruct students in Pre-School through 12th grade.
- Applicant must submit a lesson plan as part of the application, which will be reformatted and shared on this page for others to benefit from (credit will be given to the original creator).
- Grant funds must be used exclusively for STEAM-(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) related supplies.
- Grant recipient must be willing to have a photo taken with the President of Sunflower Environmental. The photo may be used in marketing and social media campaigns (a photo release waiver will be required).

As part of our community outreach initiative, Sunflower Environmental is pleased to offer a selection of pre-made STEAM activity lesson plans for your use. Our goal is to provide free resources that foster a love for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) in children, helping to inspire the next generation of innovators.

Our current contribution focus for 2026 will be supporting the National Parks Conservation Association for their vital work in conservation and sustainability.
In addition, Sunflower Environmental is committed to supporting children in need through organizations like Casa Hogar Misericordia in Chihuahua City, Mexico (Casa Hogar Misericordia). This organization provide crucial care, education, and support for vulnerable children, helping to build brighter futures.
